[bug report] Not possible to enter amounts with decimal place [duplicate]
Since SailfishOS doesn't offer native online banking apps, I am currently helping myself out with an Android based solution. The issue is that I can not properly enter amounts like EUR 172.50 because the available SailfishOS number keypad simply doesn't give me the possibility to enter amounts with a decimal place but only numbers with plain amounts.
Do you have the possibility to use the bank's services on web?
lakutalo ( 2015-06-28 01:56:13 +0200 )editThis is not a solution, but a "workaround":
I've got the Android app rShopping installed, and have the same issue with numeric input fields.
My workaround for that is to just "copy" the decimal-sign ("comma", in my case) to the clipboard - either after having entered it in a textfield within the Android app, or from e.g. Jolla's app Notes - and then just "paste" it when needed.

I have this problem with Android-banking app, too. I've used the clipboard for comma.
I think the problem is the that the wrong keyboard is used. Isn't this the keyboard for entering phone numbers.
hetas ( 2015-06-28 09:26:46 +0200 )editI have the same problem with my Danish online banking apps, which are one of two reasons have having alien-dalvik in the first place. The other is buying public transportation tickets.
Tanghus ( 2015-06-28 10:04:02 +0200 )edit@phle Thanks, It is what I also did. :) But in the end, we want things to run smooth, don't we? ;) @lakutalo It would be possible, but it's really clumsy to use. @hetas Yes, I too think it's the phone dialer.
