Hello everyone.

Here's a situation. Imagine I am looking at running app thumbnail grid apps on home-screen and I want to close some of the apps, scattered across the grid. I give the grid a tap-and-hold for the "close" icons to appear, and start closing the apps in question. But as soon as I have the first app closed and start moving my finger to close the other one, the thumbnail grid starts compressing covers start rearranging and the next-to-be-closed app starts running away from my finger.

I am asking to give more time before the grid compresses rearranging. I guess something like 700 - 800msec will be nice.

Please have a look at https://together.jolla.com/question/14787/closing-apps-from-home-screen-ux-improvement-proposal/ - from what I understand from task-manager it is not necessary to rearrange any of the covers before you leave.

my understanding: you want to close 3 apps out of 5 you kill the first, you want to kill the second, but due to rearrange you click the wrong one happens to me often too

I completely agree with the problem you describe, but I just want to mention that I'm completely open to other solutions too. One such solution being to tag apps for closing and then execute by pulley. (probably not better than your suggestion, but you get the idea of what I mean by "other solutions")
