Hi,

I own my Jolla since 4-5 days. I've setup the exchange account, but I do not remember if I'ev done before or after the two upgrades from factory default to 1.1.6.27. Anyway, contacts have been sinced, I can send regularly but if I try to download email (sync) I get "Errore di connessione". Any clue to fix it? I have to add that the exchange server is offered from our internet provider company. No idea which software is running server side (https://webmail.ticino.com)

Regards

Giorgio

I guess, you would have done all needed settings for incoming mails in the account settings for your mail account, specially the settings for security like TLS/SSL and the right port for that security method?

A quick Symantec/SSLlabs/curl test shows that certificates are OK - although the server does send you the root certificate also, which should not be sen. This is against best practices, but should not be the issue here. Should not.

The service running (after brief detective work) is Open-Xchange and as I speak the release notes of currently installed version can be found here: http://software.open-xchange.com/OX6/6.22/doc/Release_Notes_for_Release_7.6.2_2015-03-16.pdf - perhaps someone with more SSL/Exchange mileage than me could take a look at that? Anyone else using Open-Xchange?

There is a question that tells you how to debug Exchange/ActiveSync but can't find it now... That can also be of assistance.

edit: @Mannix63: Exchange/ActiveSync only uses one "connection type" for sending and receiving - therefore both work, or neither.

@gfwp: Did you try with and without provisioning? That could fit into your description...

I've checked, but both with/without provisioning mail sync raises an error. Still asymmetric, sending OK receiving KO.

Found it! Here you can find some debugging info: https://together.jolla.com/question/24995/calendar-syncing-outlook-365-completely-unreliable/
