Would be tremendously helpful if you could edit Google Contacts at all.
[Note: the problem here below is under another question / bug (and should be voted there) All my contacts afte syncing have their telephone number marked as PRIVATE Extremly bad if some people have 3 numbers and you don't want them to bug at work.]

Even with only one-way sync I think this is a bug. @hewi wants to know (and me too), which number is a private, a mobile, a business number. Sync back is a different feature (and to add, a must-have),

This question can be closed cause the Google contacs data cannot be edited (cause the sync is one-way only now). This is not a bug, sync is one-way currently.

somehow all the numbers I've imported from gmail are marked like home numbers!

Case b has been reported in the ticket @petros mentioned. Of course these two are linked, but at least with one-way sync, they could be reported separately.
