Would be tremendously helpful if you could edit Google Contacts at all.

[Note: the problem here below is under another question / bug (and should be voted there) All my contacts afte syncing have their telephone number marked as PRIVATE Extremly bad if some people have 3 numbers and you don't want them to bug at work.]

somehow all the numbers I've imported from gmail are marked like home numbers!

The question should be rephrased to focus either on editing or on mislabelling, not both.

or maybe we should merge those two subjects https://together.jolla.com/question/3487/wrong-detail-subtypes-for-contacts-imported-from-google/

Would the original author kindly decide if the more serious bug is a) cannot edit Google contacts, or b) Google contacts are mislabeled? Case b has been reported in the ticket @petros mentioned. Of course these two are linked, but at least with one-way sync, they could be reported separately.

I made us you suggested (even if I'm not the original author); this "bug" is only about (a) Google contacts being not editable (which is kind of "solved" by the fact that the sync is currently only one-way). The (b) has now more detailed and exatc description and I hope all of us who have that problem vote it here: https://together.jolla.com/question/3487/wrong-field-data-for-contacts-in-google-account/

Even with only one-way sync I think this is a bug. @hewi wants to know (and me too), which number is a private, a mobile, a business number. Sync back is a different feature (and to add, a must-have),

This question can be closed cause the Google contacs data cannot be edited (cause the sync is one-way only now). But, the question that relates to the naming of Google account fields being wrong has an updated description, and it is not about data being editable but the fact that Google data is being labeled under wrong field names: https://together.jolla.com/question/3487/wrong-field-data-for-contacts-in-google-account/

This is not a bug, sync is one-way currently.

One-way sync isn't a bug, mislabeled numbers are.
