Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable and choose "PC-connection". Your Jolla should appear in your file manager application.
I haven't used Debian with my Jolla, but it worked with two other Debian-based Linuxes. Didn't know this, my bad.
jollailija ( 2015-07-12 13:27:43 +0300 )editHm, libmtp is already installed. But I don't have any entry in my file manager (Nautilus).
der.schultze ( 2015-07-12 21:04:28 +0300 )editIf you use debian, do you have gvfs-backends installed? This package should provide everything to connect Nautilus with MTP-Devices like the Jolla.
wanderer ( 2015-07-13 10:02:39 +0300 )editDebian 8.1 here, activate developer mode, allow remote connection. Should you have wlan available, Jolla should display its ip and just connect via terminal:
$ ssh nemo@192.168.x.x
scp does solid job when it comes to transferring files to/from Jolla.

With Developer Mode enabled, I have found sftp the easiest: enter "sftp://[phone-ip]/" in Nautilus.
