Make android skype event an IM event
Question: I can see the android skype (5.4.0.5871) event notifications in events-view (like the message was received). I want my Jolla to act like if the IMevent occured - LED diod blinking, sound and so, especially when the screen is off.
So, is it possible to get this working somehow at the moment?
If it is not, the problem is likely some information getting lost in aliendalvik, em I right? If so, this would be a feature request to fix this.
Background: This version of skype works like a charm for me (except that stupid slow android-style controls). I recently discovered, there is an option in the skype client, to receive things even when the skype is on the background. With this checked, the skype is actually really able to receive messages even when the phone is locked (tested with another skype account).
Now the sad thing is that although I can receive skype IM messages anytime the app and the Internet connection is running, even when my Jolla is in standby, I can not see I actually received something - which saddly renders whole receive-in-background feature useless.
Good to know that the 5.4 works correctly.

In options, it allows you to set no notifications for skype status while synchornizing messages even in blanked phone, but it will not save this settings and will bother you with skype status (yours own online/offline) next time.
It also makes like 10 events when starting about status, but when a message comes, it makes just one simple event, which Android Notifications sees but don't catch. (It can catch the status change, but not the new message.) I did not report this to Coderus yet and I probably won't have time to do so at least until the end of the month. (Feel free to do so.)
edit: I can now confirm that video calls also work well with this version of skype. (CPU burns at 100%, 75C and battery gets drained hard, but it works nicely with both main and secondary camera.)
