I think you are searching for CSD-Tool, just tip *#*#310#*#* in the phone app and csd-tool will appear, you can also tap five times on the software version in settings menu.
RF function tests is perhaps what your searching for. Try your luck ;)

Open the CSD tool by dialing *#*#310#*#* in the phone app and choose "3G" from "RF Function Check".
