There's little here about real Exchange syncing? I've seen this thread. But my case is is a little different.

My situation: corporate Exchange 2010 server. I set up an Echange account in the Jolla (but have to go through manual server settings, no auto-discover which we have configured correctly and working on all (?) other OSes).

There was a few contacts not syncing over. After a few days I realized it was those that were assigned a "profile" in the Exchange/Outlook Contacts folder. Those profiles are now obsolete, so I removed all profiles. Didn't help. I have removed and recreated the Exchange account on the Jolla phone several times but still: those contacts which were before assigned to a profile never get synced out to the phone.

Items in the global addressbook also do not sync.

Also, contacts created on the phone are not synced up to the Exchange server?

No. Reset the phone, upgraded to 1.0.2.5 and 1.0.3.8, then added Exchange. It's hard to remember which contacts were missing. But so far it seems like they're the same. Those that were missing before, are those that are missing now.

Contacts created on the phone are not synced back to the Exchange server - verified. When will this bug be fixed?

@gaute - If you could test would be appreciated. Thanks!

In fact: It fixed itself after the 1.4.20 update even. I applied the 1.4.20 and after the boot all contacts were in place and sync worked flawlessly. I did not have to create an account.

I am absolutely positive about this diagnosis: didn't work before 1.4.20, as described, worked 100% after. With same account settings.

I am sorry for not returning to my post(s) and clarifying this right away.

Just to add: After a few days I discovered that

  • also no(?) new contacts were synced. Actually a contact created 2013-04-24 23:09 (and those before) has been synced, while a contact created 2013-04-24 23:36 did not, and no one newer...
  • Contacts originating from the Global Address Book do not get synced (even if I've created a Outlook/Exchange contact)
  • and also I stumbled across a few others that were not synced from Exchange to phone. :-(

There's just not a clear pattern, but contacts who had profiles, contacts that are new, contacts from GAB, and possibly some others, don't get synced over.

can you please check the dates in your first bullet point? 2014 is probably wrong, isn't it? The date could be important according to this post: https://together.jolla.com/question/22344/bug-incomplete-activesync-contact-sync/

Ah, sorry, exactly right. Will edit. I've just reset the phone completely, updated to 1.0.3.8, now adding MfE and testing.

I tought the problem with contacts created on the phone not synced back to the Exchange server would be solved with the 1.0.4.20 update but it is not.

Using Office 365 Exchange. Worked always well on the N9. Calendar and Email is syncing fine, as well as Contacts from server to Jolla.
