I upgraded to the latest release and suddenly I found out that most of my applications keep getting closed. Looks like memory is getting low especially when I have Android support enabled. With that one enabled, I can't even have gallery app open and zoom in it as it crashes afterwards. If I try to mix android and native applications, I can keep around only two or three. If I disable the andriod support, I can run more native applications. Before the update I was running regularly multiple android applications and native together.

EDIT: Fixed itself. Suffered for a day and then reboot fixed it. Reboot shortly after reboot did not. So I guess something needed to settle down and than needed to be rebooted.

i really think sailfish (even in the n900 days) needs more memory. 1GB is too little for something that does true multitasking. also, maemo and sailfish both seem to slow down with higher uptime due to swapping (in my case anyway). :(

2GB please.

Option for 4GB please. I keep finding ever new applications for my Jolla. It's much more useful than an Android phone.

Well, having more RAM would definitely be great, but given that I already own the 1G version (and 4G version without armv8 doesn't make sense) I would be happy if memory consumption/low memory killer settings would just return to the similar values as before the upgrade.

We are pulling a short blanket here. Either we live with applications that are killed, or we live with slow response from swapping. I prefer the second solution since I can close apps by hand, but others will prefer the first solution. We need more RAM and that's all.

How long is it since you updated? The Software-update updated nearly all parts of sailfish, so in the first hours, tracker-store needs much memory and CPU, just check it with crest or an app like that. I updated yesterday evening ans use it since this morning without problems. Just give it some hours.

I updated yesterday afternoon and problem prevails even today. But if I'm the only one experiencing it, I'll try few more resets and give it more time.

Did you already checked your btrfs free space?

Ok, so I tried reboot again and issue fixed itself. So the solution was to wait for quite some time and do reboot only after that. That one that I did when I discovered the issue didn't helped.

I couldn't update as "Optimizing" shows low memory space even though I have 4GB of memory space.

I had to free up space until only 8,3GB used space left... Maybe give it a try, tranfering some data to SD or delete old downloads...

Update says need 1.5GB space required but as per comments we need 8GB it seems. And also comments shows the version is not stable and when concentrating more into Android leads to power and RAM hungry like android devices.

Can't confirm, I'm constantly using two android apps in the background (process autostart) also I have hungermeter always opend as a tile. With the new release the systen made a big step forward in my opinion. Much smoother und faster. Yes sometimes there are issues with the system cache, but I do like it very much and use it without big problems...
