For some reason, the mail app just now showed me that it synced 7 hours ago for the last time, even though it's set to sync at a 30-minute-interval. My account is IMAP, and that worked using another client, so no problem on my provider's side. On the Jolla, I was able to browse the web using firefox, so it's not a general connectivity issue.
The time at which it stopped syncing suggests that I had just left my own Wifi's area before sync started to fail. Manually syncing just now worked fine, I will report a bit later if automatic sync started to work again after this manual sync.
I'm on Vaarainjärvi and usually automatic sync works fine. Sometimes it misses a sync, presumably due to connectivity issues. But I have not seen it not sync for this long ever before.
Does anyone have a hint on which logs to dig to get some idea on why it stopped the automatic sync?

EDIT: It missed at least the first automatic sync after manually syncing.

EDIT2: It continued not-syncing as long as mobile data was my connection. When I got home into my Wifi area, it started working again. Also after I left home again (i.e. using mobile data again, no Wifi), it continued working. So it smells like something went wrong when the connectivity changed in the morning from Wifi to mobile data.

EDIT3: This happened to me again today, so it's not a once-in-a-lifetime problem. Retagging 'bug'. I was wondering if the connection might actually be stuck on TCP/IP level and if adjusting TCP/IP timeout parameters could provide a workaround. I.e. If I happen to leave the Wifi area just while the mail is being checked. Any comments appreciated.
