With latest SF 1.1.7.24 special Android support menu was introduced to the Settings menu. This menu includes starting and stoping of android support.

What is the difference of starting/stoping Android support from the new menu compared to the older SF utilities menu, which also has controls for starting/stoping Android support?

One doesn't require you to install Sailfish Utilities from the store. Functionally I'd expect them to be identical.

Good point - However if the functionality is the same then other one can go, on next release as obsolete - right?

On the other hand the new android layer access to contact information could have been introduced to the existing Utilities application as well.

I feel bit lack of inconsistency on this one from Jolla side or just don't see the big picture how the "Utilities" are supposed to be found by users?

@Kari, I expect that 'Sailfish Utillities' is a bit of a stop-gap measure, a way for people to perform common work-arounds should they require it, not as a core part of the OS feature-set.

to answer your other question, looks like a coming update to 'Sailfish Utillities' checks for presence of the settings menu and disables those duplicate buttons as required
