Automatically increase contrast of ambience when needed

Since the display is not very luminous and the quality of the ambiance will anyway be irrelevant with a high level of ambient lighting, I think it would be really nice if the Jolla automatically increased the contrast of the ambience when the sensors says there's too much ambient light to be able to compensate with the display lighting only.
It could be as simple as filtering the background to make it darker (which SailFishOS already does) and make the font color brighter. Or you could apply a convo matrix which locally enhance contrast but it surely is less trivial.
Anyway it would really make my life better.
