IDEA:

I love the Ambience and how they alter the look and feel of the OS, but I'd like to see one that would, per a set interval, change the background using a popular and open standard like Muzei.

EXPLANATION:

Ambience have controls that also affect the notifications and other sounds. But if I like a particular notification level, I would have to alter multiple Ambience to get the desired effect - multiple backgrounds that still alert me to when an email or message comes in (if Presence is on).

Why not a dynamic background, updated daily/semi-daily via Muzei and it's sources and just alter the Ambience color and background?

NOTE:

This is purely a visual request, the options are very limited (I use Muzei on my Android tablet and phone) where the only options are Customize / Sources (select Sources) and Customize / Advanced / (blur, dim, grey) sliders and New Wallpaper Notifications/Apply Blur on Lockscreen.

+1 for this idea. This feature should be available when sailfish is more mature.

You can change Ambience from a script, example:

dconf write /desktop/meego/background/portrait/picture_filename \'/usr/share/ambience/flow/flow.ambience\'

So it would be posslble to write a muzei script.
