GPS not activated by starting a location app
Intended activation of GPS seems to occur when launching an app like Maps or Nokia Here maps in the browser. Upon closing the location app GPS is being inactivated. However, after using Maps or Nokia Here quite a bit and closing them, the GPS was not beeing sponataneuosly inactivated any longer and I had to inactivate it using the settings menue. Before relaunching Maps I had to activate the GPS in settings, but it would not start to give data to the launched app. Only after rebooting the phone it started to work again. I guess there is a bug somewhere.
This does indeed sound like a bug. Are you able to readily reproduce this? If so what are the exact steps.

Gps fixes and internet connections (switching from 2g to 3g) were lost and gained again quite often. Finally the gps icon on the home screen remained, not flashing, after closing all applications. After rebooting everything works fine again. No reproduction yet. I hope, this helps.

Using Maep on the other hand I don't need network at all, it does find my location and notice when moving indoors too.
