knows someone a good tool to read the exif data on desktop (linux/mac/widows)?
That would be nice please.
Under Linux, I like Geeqie which is a simple image viewer. It has an EXIF properties window that lists all the JPEG tags in the image, EXIF and others. Very complete (value, data type, tag name, tag description…).

Certainly agree the exif info should be available. Not so sure about the histogram.
