More options for wlan tethering / sharing
I sometimes use an AP with personal credentials (not owned by me) but want others to have access to wlan as well. So i tried to use wlan tethering. But normally Jolla uses mobile connection (2G/3G) and not wlan.
So how can I share a wlan connection easily? I dont want to share a telco mobile connection via wlan mainly because the telco traffic is limited!
I found a workaround "[How-to] Use your Jolla Phone for WiFi tethering/WiFi booster" here... https://together.jolla.com/question/104671/how-to-use-your-jolla-phone-for-wifi-tetheringwifi-booster/
But it seems there is no option to CHOOSE WHICH connection should be shared when activate tethering? I would like to see this options as an Jolla feature.
Also I want to point to this interesting and related feature-request: https://together.jolla.com/question/36835/multipeer-connectivity/ May be someone likes to vote up!?
That would be a very useful feature.

(The other question is exactly about fwding your current wlan connection as tethering option.)
chemist ( 2015-09-17 18:31:45 +0200 )edit@chemist: My question is not a duplicate CUZ I dont want to turn off telco connection each time I try to share a wifi con! So yes, you CAN use this WORK AROUND but that's not an EASY way and its not an OPTION (in the sense of a button in the UI)!
And PLEASE dont decide wether it is a duplicate or not for others - at least not for me! Thanks.

BTW the workaround answer is actually what you are asking for, you are just not happy with where the toggles are...
chemist ( 2015-09-18 00:41:27 +0200 )edit@chemist: actually there is no toggle yet. And furthermore it requires a cut off from telco connection... the other question seems not to care about these limitations and just to be an one time solution.
