It would be good to be able to clear all calls from the call log with one command (like it use to be in symbian).

You can do that in terminal and developer mode with commhistory-tools.

First install commhistory-tools if not installed...

pkcon update
pkcon install libcommhistory-qt5-tools

.

Clean all call and sms/facebook/xmpp/googlechat/mms history...

commhistory-tool deleteall

.

Clean call history only...

commhistory-tool deleteall -calls

.

Clean sms/mms/facebook/xmpp/googlechat history only...

commhistory-tool deleteall -groups

Nice! However, it would be even better if it was available in the top menu in the phone app (for call history), with a remorse timer of course.

Agreed! But then again, we would probably have to read lots of I-accidentally-deleted-my-call-history questions at jolla.together. ;)

I think this kind of utility should be placed in, well, Jolla Utilities!

Jolla Utilities would soon be to cluttered with all kinds of nice-to-have tools if Sailfish developer team give after for that kind of thoughts. I think this would suite better for a "Cleaning app", similar to BleachBit.

Lets hope any of our fantastic app developers gets an irresistible itching from reading this thread. ;)

Can you please add this he app settings page of the phone app so also non-developers can clear the list.

It is pity you can only reset the data counter and not the call list. We are on 2.1.0.9 and the clearing of phone calls is still not in.
