Vertical vs horizontal movement design
I think because of the size of the telephone the vertical approach is more usable then the horizontal approach in 1.1.9.x. With one hand the vertical approach to reach the homescreen and apps drawer works much better. So maybe it is possible to implementate an option let the user choose which approach vertical or horizontal. I am curious how others think about this.
Eh? Unless you apply some patches, 1.1.9 is vertical!

@richdb swipe from outside, you get the launcher and can pick what you need from there instead of unlocking to home (need to train myself to do that as I do not like the horizontal unlocking either)

pichlo ( 2015-09-24 12:22:31 +0200 )editThe statusbar should be removed from the homescreen.. It shouls stay on the lock screen... it is essential to have it on the lock screen.. but it shold be placed on the bottom of the screen to be peeked from the homescreen.... image
cause The statusbar on the homescreen feels somewhat familiraity to the othe OS and the best part of the sailfish is what to be unlike..... :) hope it gets fixed :)
The lock and the homescreen is to be attached just as the implementation in the 1.x.x.x..
