[feature requested] make screenshot in video or animated picture for debugging/presentation use
Hello TJC,
sometimes when i have an odd situation on sfos, i have the need to display a sequence of action and not just a screenshot picture.
For debugging use that would be fantastic to be able to give the steps of reproducibility on a video.
As it would be great too for presentation use, to be able to make a video showing specific functions.
It seems that currently there no such a tool on sfos which could make a screenshot video.
Has someone already seen such a tool?
Could someone maybe develop it?
I have no idea on how complicated to develop but i represent me, that if someone can make screenshot, then the same with video could be done.
Update:
- Maybe as alternative it could be done
as a animated picture, like animated
gif.
- if the video-screenshot-app could provide the possibility to open the mail app and put a video in a mail, and we just have to add a text inside and send it. would be great as "nice to have ".
Would surely interest a lot's of people
Have nice sails
I think this needs some functionality in the wayland compositor that means lipstick to record screencasts.

leszek ( 2015-09-29 18:39:51 +0200 )edit@r0kk3rz@leszek i find the the word that you told "slideshow" interesting. a video of this kind for this usage is a kind of slideshow.

Maybe there is some alternative format similar of it...
what do you think about it? i think maybe to suggest it in main thread with an update
Maybe interested developers can find something useful from SimpleScreenRecorder repository.
