When searching for keywords, the autocomplete/search suggest usually yields better (less cluttered) results than the actual search result page (after submitting the search). Unfortunately, the dropdown list closes as soon as you left- or right-click*) a topic-link, so it is not possible to open multiple topics from it in new tabs.

Not closing it would let us Ctrl-click several links from the list conveniently, or use the context menu respectively.

Users who just "normally" click on an entry wouldn't care either, because they are immediately sent to another page anyway.

*) EDIT: As pointed out by @Markkyboy below, right-clicking keeps the dropdown open in some browsers (not in Firefox).

In which case, all I do is simply right click on the question/answer I want to look at and select to open in a new tab, this way the search drop down menu stays open.

@Markkyboy unfortunately that does not work in Firefox (closes on right-click, too). But in Chrome it does, thanks for the hint.
