Calendar event notifications some days in advance ?

Enjoying the calendar features of the Nokia N9 I am happy, that Sailfish 2.0 now shows same day calendar events on the notification screen (if this feature is activated). Some calendar events need preparation in advance so I would like to be reminded before the event at a day of my choice, that is not only at the same day.

This could be implemented in several ways:

a) The new same day notification could have the option to choose some number of days to be notified before the event.

b) Individual events in the calendar could get a second time option additional to the alarms already implemented. This new time option should define the number days the event appears in advance on the notification screen.

I am using my Jolla phone as a day to day phone and this feature would increase the usefulness of the phone a lot.
