Hi all!!

As sure the "phantom" tablets will not be delivered, why Jolla does not try to save a piece of their credit and offer phones instead of the tablets? (or huge discounts in new phones) Sure a lot of us will accept.

Since many already have a Jolla phone (some even have multiple phones!), it won't be a real remedy. Also, Jolla is trying to sell them in order to raise a bit more cash to keep the lights on...

Because selling phones in stock brings profit, whereas offering them as substitute products for customers with pending orders is quite stupid and just unprofessional.

I suppose we all know by now that the situation is far from ideal both from our and Jolla's point of view, but income and cutting costs are the most crucial thing for Jolla at the moment since according to Juhani Lassila tablet shipments depend on securing financing. Afterall, financing is more critical than satisfied customers.

No, satisfied costomers are a key especially for small vendors. I still do not understand why Jolla does not react to all the sh**storm around. There are so many business advices around that a company need to react on that instead of ignoring.

@jobe-m, For sustainable financing satisfied customers are a key thing, that's for sure. Unfortunately the company is struggling at the moment, and I'm sure the atmosphere there isn't that great. Executives are trying to find ways to keep their business running and as half of the staff is being laid off. In a crisis like this it's only natural to try and save yourself instead of handing out your last stravs to your customers. Afterall, Jolla can't pay debt with satisfied customers, can they?

@Okw Ok, right. Now also there was the long awaited blog post. Also Jolla will move out of their premises in the old Nokia building. Maybe they will settle again in Antti's kittchen? ;) And look for new ways to continue? At least this is the end of Jolla as we know it. But the momentum is still moving forward. With some luck and business connections they can ensure that others will build SFOS devices. The rest -honestly- can be done by the community and full OSS SFOS.
