While wearing headphones, when no music is playing, I hear clicks at a rate of about 5 Hz. Reboot did not help. Could that be a software bug or defective hardware?

What model are the headphones? Are they handsfree and if so, what phone are they made for?

I tried several headphones from older Nokia models - N9 et al. Same problem. I understand that I need an adapter or a CTIA compatible one (see http://lenovomobile.com.ph/forums/showthread.php?691-4-pin-3-5mm-Headset-Pinout-Lenovo-mobile).
