Hi, in Gnome 3 is really good support for ownCloud synchronization (not only Calendar and Contacs but also Documents). I think Jolla, ownCloud and Gnome3 could be good Microsoft (or Google) competitor...

There is only one problem... And that is ownCloud sync on Jolla. I know CalDAV and CardDAV sync is already on the board (but it's not really good - specialy CardDAV sync). My idea is: when I create document on desktop, I'd like to open it on phone (Documents app). And when I add new contact on phone, I'd like to see it on the computer or in the web browser. And when I remove contact from phone it should disappear on the desktop too. And web version of Libreoffice should be present in ownCloud in the future so syncing with web Libreoffice documents and more and more... I think this would be really cool...

I think this would be great for small firm which don't want or don't have money for Microsoft...

Form me the caldav and carddav sync work pretty well between jolla, owncloud and thunderbird.

Filesync of a single folder (or selection of some folders) would be wonderful to have. I now use the owncloud app to manually download and upload files.

Same here. Carddav and Caldav with Owncloud and SailfishOS works pretty good. As for file syncing I use dropbox or btsync still. Though mostly when I need to transfer files I use ssh/sftp anyways and don't use cloud file storage.

I use ownCloud on blaucloud.de and contact sync didn't work properly for me...

did one of you get CardDAV working with posteo.de?

CalDAV works fine but CardDAV under Saimaa 2.0.0.10 fails constantly.

Comments welcome about getting CardDAV operational!

FF! /d

PS: Getting ENCRYPTION / GnuPG & CalDAV, CardDAV and moreover the Gnome sync (is it a standard or short lived like M$?) working would be dimensions more welcome than any "other half" gimmicks when money is short ...

I personally use syncthing for data syncing between my server, my phone and my pc. it works real good, because it has a decent battery usage, and i also created a little python script so it only activates when the phone is in wireless lan.
