GPS doesn't work
GPS doesn't work neither in Here maps nor in Navfree.
Has anyone else the same problem or a solution for this problem?
Thanks for helping me.

Markus, can you explain which version of SailfishOS you are running? Do you have specific notifications popping up? Or how do you conclude GPS is not working?
JSEHV ( 2016-02-01 19:48:18 +0200 )editHello JSE,
thank you for your question and interest.
My SailfishOS is 2.0.0.10.
I have no specific notifications. Only when activating the faster monitoring of the position I receive the information in the navigation app, that compass is not working.
I concluded GPS is not working, because the navigation app doesn't give me the actual position. A green augmenting dot works for a while to search the actual position. After a few trials it stops and the marking stands still on the original position.
I hope that you have enough information for further helps.
Greetings
Markus
silvernail ( 2016-02-02 10:52:46 +0200 )edit@silvernail, can you try updating to 2.0.1.7 and see if the bug still exists? (As 2.0.1.7 is currently an early-access release, make sure you have ticked the box of the early-access in your Jolla account to receive this release).
JSEHV ( 2016-02-02 20:09:40 +0200 )editHello JSE,
thank you for your answer. I would not activate the early-access because of: "Please make sure you backup your data (as you always should) before installing the early release, as we cannot with certainty say that you will not have any problems (such as data loss or corruption). Note that opting in to the early release program does not void your warranty." I think I'll better wait until the new update is ok. And I hope it would be soon. Sincerely Markus
