2.0.0.10 - German Language Version

Hi, I´ve only got my Jolla Phone for a month now. - Everything was going well so far. - But within the last couple of days I experienced 3 times now, that the Jolla suddenly didn´t update my mails any more. - Neither automatically nor manually. - But it didn´t show any error message (apart from 1 time when it did). - At the same time the ambiences from the Top menu were gone. - The only Entry in the Ambiences Top menu was the Shutdown-Button (not the Lock-Button, but really the shutdown-Button). - Unfortunately I can´t say what I did immediately before this effect appeared as I obviously only noticed it - playing around with the phone - after quite some time. - My Mailfile said it wasn´t updated for 24min, although it´s usually replicating every 15min.
But When I noticed this issue for the last time, I was browsing the Internet just before I noticed the issue, and the connection worked for that. First time I noticed this issues, I noticed a message-bubble saying that the Jolla-Store wasn´t available (can´t remember the exact wording). - And this although I wasn´t using the store at that point in time or just before.

In advance to this question I for sure surfed the Q&As, but I couldn´t find an existing entry on the above.

Has someone by chance experienced the same issue, and / or has anyone got an idea what the reason for that situation might be, or how it could be avoided?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I have recently done a reset of my jolla due to exactly the same problems (I know, that's not what you like to hear....). I have waited for the latest release to see if the release would clean things (as it did the previous time). unfortunately it didn't.... Other problems I encountered: music player does not recognize music and app registery gave error and development mode does not install. Hope you can fix it without reset....good luck!

After factory reset (the first in

@rgrnetalk: Many thanks for your feedback. So... I will not be tempted to try out all the hassle related to factory reset myself, then.

Hi!
I changed Pulley to Top menu (correct term IIRC).
Was the popup message something like "Problem with Store"?
Can you check your filesystem balance by running btrfs-balancer allocation in Terminal as root? You'll need developer mode enabled for that.

Here's a guide for filesystem balancing:

@jollajolla: Many thanks for your answer. The "Problem with Store" message indeed just appeared when I tried to follow your proposed approach. - And I think I saw it once before in context with above issue as well.
Right, here are the results from my discovery so far: According to the Info in the Settings: 7,8 GB out of 13,7 GB are used.
The outcome from the btrfs-requests is as follows: "used: 14763950080 bytes, allocated: 10468982784 bytes No balancing required. 70% allocated"

Mmh... Maybe it´s nevertheless a good idea to see if it the "7GB" mentioned in the link you put in your answer, are a limit that should - for whatever reason - not be exceeded? - At least it makes sense to me that the issues might have sth to do with the usage of the storage... - As the issues only appeared recently. I´ll therefore now try and delete stuff, so that I´ll get below 7GB, and see if the issues continue.
Any new / additional ideas are for sure welcome. - Many thanks once again!

Yeah, getting a SD card and moving all music and pictures onto it is a great idea for preserving disk space. I hope your Jolla starts functioning normally after a little spring cleaning :)

Me again. - After a week of trying out the workaround of reducing the used internal storage below 7 GB ... I haven´t experienced above errors any longer. - Although in my understanding this can not be the solution, but only a workaround... It makes me happy that my Jolla works again without any error messages. Thanks to jollailija.
