If only it was that simple...
Anyone who has worked in product and electrical engineering knows what level of complexity is involved when you want interchangeable fundamental components, like processors and body. In addition to that you'd have to test myriads of combinations. It's much more efficient, both practically and economically, to focus on one device, than build custom in large scale. Custom is always going to have a niche market. That's why it's called custom.
Puzzlephone is a good shot at this direction, but their palette is also quite limited. A phone made of three interchangeable components, where this brain container has most of the intelligence (CPU, GPU, memory, camera)? That's nice, but I see them more as a proof of concept or a prototype than an viable option for a cellphone.
And no. This will not capture the market.
I am sorry i didnt know the fact. my idea was only let choose the people about their passionate mobile like music, business, technical, all in one, photography, software programming, readers digest or Company will only provide how much ram, how much proccessor speed, how much internal memory, sd card support slot, camera resolution, what software they will need. they will only click. company will decide which material should be put. hardware can be same for many passions. because peples dont know the programming they only knows how mobile can satisfy himself.

Sounds like PuzzlePhone to me...
avhakola ( 2016-02-18 05:30:16 +0200 )editnice idea, at the time Jolla seem not even eager to sell their current device, or not capable to do so. Ordered a Jolla on January 26 and it's still not shipped, how about that? They will not survive in any market with that order processing system, that's for sure.
danfin ( 2016-02-18 13:52:43 +0200 )editJolla is out of hardware business, I doubt they'd do that.
jollailija ( 2016-02-18 18:59:35 +0200 )editwell.. it could be unfashion in this era! all is mass-followed.. and to do that you need a very big production.. The more particular you act, the more expensive.
