I might be wrong but could it be that you need first compatible hardware? I can imagine that our jollas have a too simple cam since we had here already people complaining about image quality.

Blink enables you to capture a burst of images on your Windows Phone 8 so that you can choose the best shot. It does this by capturing pictures before and after you press the shutter. That way, if you pressed the shutter a few moments too early or too late, Blink has a series of images it captured that you can view to find the best shot—now or later. Advanced image stabilization technology from Microsoft Research removes camera shake and lets you focus on the important parts of the scene

that's what i got from microsoft research website

wasn't this also available on sony ericsson phones 10 years ago? and isn't it basically just a video captured and one frame extracted after the shot has been taken? anyway, should be doable with gstreamer

Blink is app it is in nokia lumia series. now also in microsoft. you take the photo of moving object and app cut it down in number of photos . just play that series you will see same action in slow or fast mode. or only select the number of photos what you want in that action. it is very good app.

sounds like patented "technology". useless but patented.

So this is a timeshift-mode of the camera, like the Timeshift-feature of BB10.

Yes a timeshift feature would be great in Sailfish OS, but asking for a specific Microsoft app is pointless since it will never get ported...you should rather change your request to a feature request of a timeshift-mode as a feature for the Sailfish OS camera app.
