Will backups made on a classic jolla phone device become transferable onto a new jolla phone C device – and vice versa ?
That’d be very helpful to have / know indeed …

As I have tried now the backups are compatibile, so just move the tar.gz file to the respective folder and the data can be restored to a different device.
Example: I have two folders in my Dropbox called Jolla and Jolla C. So I take the newest tar.gz from the Jolla folder and just move it to the Jolla C folder, and it can be recovered via Settings now.

I'd love that feature - would make the transfer much much easier
