The JP1 is one of the few smartphones that if turned off it turns on to play/ring the alarm.
Is the same for Jolla C?

Jolla C will turn on alarm similarly than original Jolla phone did.

almost every smartphone turns on automatically for alarm because of RTC.
By todays standards you are right, but many older smartphones back in the days when smartphones took off(around 2010-2012), did not. Also, if your battery goes flat, it won't return for an alarm. The JP1 is in fact one of the few "modern" smartphones that does that.

juiceme ( 2016-05-30 11:21:52 +0300 )thanks coderus, last time I checked (3 yrs ago) the JP1 was the only phone capable of doing this. Neither Android, Ios or WP8 phones where able to do it.
All my friends and colleagues had to keep the phone in flight mode to make the alarm ring.
So today all phones have the RTC?

Silly me, I thought that my Nokia N95 that I bought in 2006 was a smartphone. (Oh, and yes, it is perfectly capable to automatically turn on for alarm).
