Whatsapp: use web client?

Since there are issues with both the original Whatsapp app under android (since you need to have android running) and the alternative Whatsup (risk of being banned, ...), is it an possible way out of this, using the web client variant of Whatsapp? Some experiences on this? Did someone tried this?

your offical whatsapp client has to stay online, all the time to use the webclient. it's more a remote than an actual client

It's useful to copy and paste stuff from your PC.

It might be possible to use another smartphone with official WhatsApp laying at home and act as gateway, and to use whatsapp web via this phone... but just using the android version seems a lot easier to me :)

Wow, always thought the idea of whatsapp web to be a bit off point, but wow, now it just sounds utterly useless, no offense intended of course
