Apparently, there is an Andriod malware that can do nasty things on an Android phone and that can neither easily be detected nor easily be removed: HummingBad

How seriously can HummingBad affect Jolla/SFOS? Is Alien Dalvik susceptible to HummingBad? Or could even SFOS be affected?

EDIT: from what I understand, HummingBad would at least require that Alien dalvik is running because otherwise APKs could not be installed - but I am not sure.

@AkiBerlin hey, well, id assume that this driveby download attack needs to happen through a vulnerable android browser (since its made for android). unfortunately your source is an unreliable blog (from a snake oil dealer) that doesnt disclose the vulnerable browser (also theres no CVE).

so, i guess youre pretty save unless you use an android browser... if you do use one, well the android layer can be rooted... question is if the way they try to root works on aliendalvic too, and i dont think people here can answer that...

edit: other sources say hummingbad is also spread through fake apps, and it originates from china, so maybe people using anzhi market might be potential victims too. this just became a lot more interesting!
