Sailfish disconnect network after a while the user lock the screen. On previous version of Sailfish OS, Jolla get new WeChat messages just after unlock screen. On 2.0.2.48, Jolla does not get new messages until the app is opened.

I experienced exactley the opposite with wechat and sfos 2.0.2.48 I cannot deactivate the pop up function and every new message wake up the screen and the message is visible there. Android background services are even not active for this app. you should go to settings- apps- wechat and start the background services. maybe it solves your problem
Also strange on you Jolla. The setting is just about starting service after the phone boot up. Relevant service should have started since I open the app. No notifications just happens after unlock the screen. After wake up the app, notifications behaviour will be normal.
