BTRFS is only used by Jolla1 so far. Jolla Tablet, Intex Aqua Fish and Jolla C are all using ext4 and because of this btrfs command is not available by default.

NOTE: Jolla1 related btrfs guidances do not work on other devices than Jolla1 phone and might cause damage to your filesystem if used on other devices.

I am not mistaken Jolla C and Aquafish do not use BTRFS as file system.

Obviously ^^. It uses ext4.

But why is then the possibility to use btrfs for the sd card is kicked off too? I would appreciate to format my 128G SD with btrfs... This is not a problem of the btrfs tools (which can be installed...) but the kernel modules for btrfs.

An unfortunate side effect, I guess.

Just use ext4 for your SD card. I don't want to rant, but in my experience (I am playing around with btrfs on a few non-production systems) btrfs is just not yet where it should be in terms of stability and usability. That's probably also the reason why Jolla is now using ext4.
