Is it planned to have local/proximity operators for care (concerning hardware for instance)?

Main problems today for other countries than Finland:

  • delay without phone,
  • assurance for transport,
  • transport cost even if cotation is too high,
  • ...

Does someone knows:

  • where to ask it officially to Jolla please?
  • if there are European obligations concerning guarantee or pieces availability?

Note: I like my Jolla, I'm just afraid of what could happen with hardware issues (my fault or not)...

Edit: during MWC2014 Jolla show that Sailfish OS can be successfully installed on different Android devices. So except for TOH and the "Jolla Fan aspect", the Jolla phone has lost a big part of its interest due to repair complexity/delay/cost/...

Agreed. This is important, since the Jolla has been sold throughout Europe but the signed up service center have apparently stated they will only service Finnish Jolla customers.

Few users seems to have problem (broken screen, ...) and don't have any solution today... No way to have a company that repair the phone, no way to buy pieces, ...

The service should be indeed better and available more widely outside Finland. As Jolla phone is being sold almost all across the Europe at the moment and more likely expanding sales to other markets too, care/repairservice is vital and definitely needed.

Best solution IMO would be to have repair center in each country or even in your own city. If it's not possible to have own repair services in each country or city, there could be several bigger "repair centers" to offers repair services for Jolla devices.

Yes, its needed. And what's your answer?

Stefanix ( 2014-02-12 17:43:11 +0300 )edit

If there is a plan for repair services outside of finland to meet the needs of the customers (currenty I have no need - but shit happens..) then I can hand some connection here in Switzerland :-)

unfortunately they are far too busy to reply emails at jolla care. I sent a couple of emails regarding headsets sometime late December...no reply, yet. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ˜

As far as I can see at jolla.com, the only address you could use to address your request is care@jolla.com though you might not be answered about your submission.

Thanks, but they are overbooked and currently not able to deal with real issues, so for a question like mine...

I sort of figured it out. They might have the care@jolla.com for customer care only and another email for general submissions. They currently have the same address for nearly everything and I'm not surprised they're overload. Indeed they have two open job positions for the customer care service: customer service and product usability. Maybe after they fill them we'll all got quicker answers.

I hope so...

Do you think we can close the thread or will we wait until Jolla will reorganize its customer care service?

Gianluca ( 2014-02-14 10:52:51 +0300 )edit

Well, for me there is no response concerning the first and main part of my question. And concerning the contact part, I hope someone here could have better...
