Mariusmssj ( 2016-10-13 11:13:00 +0200 )editI just found this out as well. It's a pain to redo the ambience customizations manually. Especially since there isn't a configuration file that I could backup/restore that contains all the sound file locations like: "message: /home/nemo/sounds/portal/turret/thereyouare.mp3" etc.
I think part of the issue with backing up ambiences is that the notification sounds have to be in the music folder which isn't part of the backup. It would be nice if they could use a sounds folder for notifications in addition to music. The backup process should copy anything used from the music folder to the sounds folder and restore to this. That risks duplicating files when you copy your music back over. Maybe there's a better way. (I'd rather just have config files for each ambience, but maybe there's a security/memory issue with that idea.).
jerga ( 2016-10-13 22:28:48 +0200 )editThere is in fact a Ringtones folder, but for some reason it isn't being used.
nthn ( 2016-10-13 23:20:16 +0200 )editI've had this pain as well. Having separate Ringtones in effect and have all of that be part of the backup would be great. I don't change phones very often, so this is not a constant pain, but it is annoying every time...
