Although the backup-"utility should be more robust and should work reliably with different SD cards now, and allow spaces in filenames" in Fiskarsinjoki it fails on my Jolla1. It says that it failed with exit code 2 .. tar: /media/sdcard/ xxx /sailfish_backup_2016_... tar: not able to open ("kann open nicht ausführen") no permission.

The SD-Card is freshly formated in the phone just before the backup and shoud have the same rights then the backup-process. I unmounted and (re)mounted the Card and then tried to create a folder on it. This also failed with "unable to create folder"

For me it seems that the SD-card is not mounted propperly to the system although the card is shown in the storage-menue and can be seen via PC. When i try to create a folder via PC i get: "libmtp-Fehler: Could not send object info."

The SD-Card is no longer usable and worthless; this seems to be a bug because the card has been usable under Taalojärvi.

I see the same problem. My SD-card is btrfs formatted (done from a linux PC) and I use it in the JP1 since over a year without problems. But now it is only mounted "read only" and I find no way to solve this problem. A chmod or chown doesn't help.

I had the same problem with my Jolla-C in Fiskarsinjoki and Haapajoki until I discovered that the sd-card's mount-directory (/media/sdcard/< MyMountDirectory >) is owned by user "root" instead of "nemo"! I could fix it by calling:

su-devel
chown nemo:nemo <MyMountDirectory>

Hello @tauchermichel,

if you describe step by step what you have done and also tell us with filesystem format you are using, as well as additional information we might be able to have a idea of how to help you.

Greetings megalith

P.s.: I have had like whise trouble today and I formated the card again outside of my phone with a linux PC with the filesystem format of vfat and it worked out fine for me. If you use Windows have a look for the tools on www.sdcard.org to format, check and repair the card ;).
