Does sailfish support appimage

AppImage is package format which allow same package applications to run independently on many linux distribution. http://appimage.org/

Can we have apps which can run on all phone os like sailfish,ubuntu, tizen ? It can reduce effort and allow to coordinate developers accross to bring more and more app to community driven OSes.

There are no ARM AppImage. Only desktop ones.

I am talking about an idea also. App developers from ubuntu,sailfish, tizen can colaborate for build such app. If possible... we dont have huge no. of app support.

You'd still have to recompile for ARM.

I'd like to see flatpak support sometime in the future, but that stuff is still new and adoption numbers are probably low. Right now it's not worth the engineering effort.
