Im planning to use my jPhone for a month. So get ready for some questions. First thing I noticed after setting up the device, which went pretty smoth was when I tried out some applications in store, several installed fine but no Icon appeared. well. I can live wirh that but it wont impaires confidence and will scare of users.

Do jolla do any quality checks or do they leave it for the user.

would it be possibe to add some batches to quality apps that actually work? or is this an os glitch that installed applications losing the icon?

I have icons for all installed apps, and the quality of almost every app feels superior to android ones ;)

No apps have ever lost icon on my devices, during 3 years with Jolla phones.

Which apps do you mean for example? In my experience some of the apps are not full functional, especially from warehouse but I got an icon for all apps. But I'm new to sailfish...

just tried a few at random aptoid market store, rock radio and a few others. coyld be jolla that messed up account too. happens quite often.

Yes we do QA for official Jolla Store apps, for both android and sailfish apps. :)

And as for Aptoide. It is handled by aptoide itself.

There are many sources of apps. Only the Jolla store (the "Store" app on your phone) is in the field of jolla. And for "Store" there is a QA. Just transmit your own new app to harbour.jolla.com and you will see!. And read the FAQ .

In Warehouse the QA is made by the user. Your response improve the apps.

Android and Android apps are not for me. If you really want to use this stuff: be carefully!

Thanks, appreciated! I have no choice but to use some Android apps. It would be nice if we would have the most used apps ported to SailFish and I hope this will come up in the future, when more people will realize the advantage of SailFish
