My poppy red limited edition just arrived and I attached it to the phone first time. Got the Dialog to start Installation and it jumped to ambience setup and seemed to start downloading. After a while it finished and the background changed, however I cannot find any new ringtones :-( I tried already deleting the ambience and reinstalling it but without success

I don't see it either, neither in the ambience settings nor in the system settings where the default Jolla ringtone still shows up. However, I hear it when the phone rings. try that.

the jolla firstone ring tones are locked to the first one ambiance. You can find them true ssh from pc, copy them and past them in home directory from there the are found as mp3

@teun: That shouldn't be necessary, though. They're meant to be activated with the ambience, no SSH or copying required. Unless you want to listen to the tune from your music player, of course ;) ...

@ossi1967 you would only want to copy them to be able to use them in other ambiences and of course to have the first-one ringtone on endless repeat .. because it is that cool

poppy red is only a fool red splash screen there aren't any new ringtones avaible; and now i have trouble to create atmosphere because i cant input any sounds for any tones...

Well ...

So ... We"re reopening this subject because it wasn't the good response ...

To know where's the ringtones and so on .. just use the terminal and type :

find / -name *.wav

You receive the localisation from different wav and the sounds that you search are :

system/usr/share/ambience/ambience-the-first-one

All are included on this folder ...

Shouldn't it be the decision of the questioner what he accepts as an answer?

Sailor ( 2014-01-15 23:21:21 +0300 )edit

Rather: find / -name "*.mp3"

Notice the " around the argument for the sake of completeness.. Anyway, as I originally opened this subject, I am already satisfied as for me it was a question of usability..

Try this :

In the terminal, type this :

devel-su
systemctl restart tohd.service

That restarts your nfc and logically, restart your installation for the TOH.

Normally, all would must be ok after that ;)

He said it is already installed.

Sailor ( 2014-01-15 22:06:57 +0300 )edit

and I say that it RESTARTS (not starts) the installation. I had the same problem and I did that ... All was ok after the RE-installation ...

Please read correctly the next time ...

That restarts the nfc and sometimes it's necessary ...

But he has the ambience only thing that he does not see the ring tones. Which matches also for me, as far as other users report the ringtones cannot be seen from the UI only from the CLI.
