Dead Jolla C/Aqua Fish main board or JC/AF users with XRAY machine access wanted
Hello all,
I would like to close out a theory: figure out that the Jolla C and Aqua Fish has NFC or not. James officially denied it here: https://together.jolla.com/question/135357/jolla-c-specs-does-it-have-an-nfc-reader/ however by taking apart my AF I have realized that there is an NFC like PCB antenna in the bottom half and an RF cable is present in the device which is connected to the mainboard through a connector silkscreened NFC: https://together.jolla.com/upfiles/14788113559480698.jpg
The references to the NFC chip are in the kernel's DTS sources too which seems to be compiled in too. I have not been able to communicate with the chip yet, so it brings up the question if the manufacturer populated it or not.
To ensure it I would need to take off the metal shielding caps from the main board which is a little bit risky to perform on my primary phone. If someone has a dead unit (washed/sunken/whatever) preferably in Europe please let me know. I need only the mainboard.
Plan B: I used to work in a manufacturing company where we had industrial XRAY machines for soldering inspection . If someone having a JC/AF device could take XRAY images from a phone the presence of the NFC chip could be determined.
I only half qualify to your request here, I have access to industrial X-Ray but only own the Jolla1 phone myself. So if someone would lend me a JC/AF I would be happy to put it in the X-Ray ;)

I would recommend you to share the country/region/city where you are accessible to increase the possibility to find someone nearby.
In the DTS file the Unitronics engineers mentioning NXP547.
You can find a --khmmm -- confidiental datasheet here: http://www.datasheetspdf.com/datasheet/download.php?id=914508
It is in a VFBGA49 package, and I assume it is in the region marked below according to the NFC antenna cable connector location: http://imgur.com/a/DvarG

Ah, datasheetpdf forbids direct linking. Here is the link to the datasheet: http://www.datasheetspdf.com/PDF/PN547/914508/1
