It would be nice to create different calendars with different colors not only by syncing to a service like google or facebook. You should be able to create one for work and others for your free time, such as family or hobbies…

This is already possible, but it's not very handy for people who are not familiar with Linux and Sqlite. So I hope Jolla includes this functionality soon in the future updates. Meanwhile, I wrote a small guide for adding multiple calendars and syncing them using syncevolution: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=92788.

The Patch: Add more calendars (to be used with Patchmanager 3 or Patchmanager 2) eases creating additional calendars (though may not fully solve the original question).

Calendar pulley menu has 'Manage calendars' which shows "Default" and "Birthday" by default, which leads me to believe that this functionality is supported/supposed to be supported. Dunno how to edit/add calendars though.

Now there is only a white bar showing that one of the calendars has events that day. Would be handy to see with one look which of the current months calendar events are e.g. birthdays.
