why do we rely on patches made by other users why cant u people supply this simple features in ur nxt update
please jolla it is my humble request
and also advertise ur self because sailfish easily outshines all other os in the market

Slow down, please.

  • It's easier for other people to understand what you write if you separate words into sentences.
  • Use the search function to avoid creating duplicate questions.
  • Split the remaining issues into separate questions – discussing everything you have on your mind in one question gets very messy.

Have you tried out LLs Video Player ? And MaxVol has a slider to set the volume. There might be other apps as well which support this

Ya but the point is why to use patch because it becomes so messy and hinders with update

This should be basic functionality though. I want to lower the playback volume before starting a really loud video, not after.

@ntnh nobody says it shouldn't, i just can't understand why people are lazy to apply patches :D

Maximum volume is set so low (without the patch) because of EU regulations. Jolla is not the only hardware selling company suffering from this.

It is already implemented but hidden by Jolla on Jolla1 device.

Virgi patched it a while back, his patch then allows 3 fingers to drag volume up and down in a vertical gesture any where on the screen. The patch is on Openrepos; https://openrepos.net/content/virgi/patch-three-fingers-volume-control

Well it is not hidden but only activated on bigger screens (e.g. Jolla Tablet) by default. :)

How can I activate this on not big screen? This is something I've proposed a long time ago, and I thought it was not accepted. But if that is present then how to activate it?
