Hi everybody,

I have wondered if Icould simply use an Android app like AFWall+ for managing my Jolla's iptables.

Can somebody please tell me if this will work? If so, is there anything I have to regard?

Thank you

I don't think it will, because Alien Dalvik is basically just an emulated Android system.

I use AFWall+ to block android apps from using my mobile connection. Actually it is supposed to only block Android stuff but somehow if you block all entries in the list you can somehow also block sailfish connections, but I never understood why. I tried several times if this was only by coincidence but I can reproduce it regularly. But I'm not sure if you can so easily in detail filter Sailfish stuff like you can do with Android.

Unfortunately you need Android root rights to use it so on AquaFish with Jolla C image its not really working.

Thanks for ýour reply. I already assumed that managing Sailfish's firewall with an Android app wouldn't work, but it's good to know that I could control my Android Apps with it.
