Applications minimised automatically

I am running Sailfish version 2.1.0.11 and ever since I updated to this, the phone has become almost unusable. Any application I open minimises immediately. Be it a native app like phone app, people app, browser or settings or Android app like hike. I have done btrfs balancing many times, still no use

So you are using the Jolla 1? Show the terminal output of btrfs fi show

When I run the command btrfs fi show, I get the following message

No it is ok and you have enough free space available.

How many apps do you have opened on normal usage? The Jolla 1 has only 1 GB of RAM and it is ok to run about 5 (not so 'heavy') apps (if Alien dalvik is running) without getting the apps killed by the OOM-killer.

BTW what do you mean with 'minimising'? Is the app just closing/not opening or is the app leaving a greyed out app cover?

I try to open just one app at a time. The app opens and immediately minimises to a cover. Clicking on it shows as if the app is trying to open, but once again the same happens. I would be lucky to open any app.. This happens even with settings app.
