Location turned ON at applications request [released]
When starting an application that needs location service(e.g. Maps, Foursquare etc.) a dialog shall be presented asking for permission to use location, instead of current "Turn On positioning. Go to Settings/Location" (or similar). Or even better in Settings there shall be a option to allow location services for application request in general.
I'd prefer it asking, there might be a reason why you turned it off... there is no reason to turn it off if you are considering powersaving only - module is not active if not asked to be. I like to have the apps in need of location open but turn on/off gps (Location) as needed.

My reason for turning location generally OFF in Settings was power saving, as prior TOH NFC bug discovery battery life was miserable. And I have read that turning OFF location improves it a bit :) If behaviour is like N9 - there is no need to keep it OFF for P-Saving.
zlatko ( 2013-12-26 09:02:17 +0200 )editI would like to be able to choose which application can get my location for privacy reasons. A selection like "No" / "only this time" / "alway" would be nice.
