Sony Xperia X (F5121)/Sony Xperia X Performance(F8131)/Sony Xperia X Compact(F5321)/Sony Xperia X Dual Sim (F5122) - compatibility?
Apart from the base model of Sony Xperia X (F5121), there are also the Sony Xperia X Performance (F8131), the Sony Xperia X Compact (F5321) and the Sony Xperia X Dual Sim (F5122). Will Sailfish X be compatible with these variants as well?
Obvious differences:
- Sony Xperia X Compact has the same processor, but a different screen, and USB-C.
- Sony Xperia X Performance has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 processor, a different screen and is waterproof.
- Sony Xperia X Dual Sim is almost identical to base Sony Xperia X, but it has two SIM slots and 64GB flash.
EDIT: An important question for Jolla: If we bought a base Sony Xperia X image and were able to flash it onto one of these phones, would we get full access to Android, Microsoft Exchange, spelling correction and the other such features (though obviously no Jolla support for any phone problems)? @jovirkku?
I wouldn't expect official support. Community maybe. They said many times they are thinking of adding more devices but at the point they will get the X port ready all those are going to be old devices. Sony already presented the xz1 compact which i would like to see official support for.

00prometheus ( 2017-08-31 22:44:57 +0200 )edit@00prometheus having a phone with no official support and access to the store doesn't make much sense. To me at least.
ApB ( 2017-08-31 22:58:05 +0200 )editPorted Device has Access to store. But the lacks the commercial parts like Alien Dalvik, Exchange and XT9
ExPLIT ( 2017-09-01 16:30:08 +0200 )editDidn't know X Compact has the same processor as normal X. This means Sailfish X MIGHT be able to run on X Compact without modifications. Though it's better to check if it has a separate AOSP tree. X Performance seems like a completely different device.
