[App-Request] Network reset button / app.
Could anyone develop a button that restarts the network sublayer of SFOS (ofono restart) straight from the homescreen?
Why this is useful? Not having to go to the settings utilities menu, and not having to use the terminal.
Frequency of use? With Sailfish 2.1.0.11 i am resetting the network about every three hours and especially due to faulty WIFI to mobile data (2G, and 4G) handoffs during wifi disconnects or being powered down.
I feel sorry for you. I only need it like every other month or so. You need to debug that somehow... What does journalctl say? Anyway, adding a shortcut to utilities makes the process just one tap more than what you want.

DarkTuring ( 2017-09-29 03:39:49 +0200 )edit@DarkTuring - I'm sure someone will take you up on that challenge for 50 bucks, I tried earlier today, but failed miserably. I'm sure by extracting a few lines of code from the appropriate files it can be made, but honestly, why pay for a button when the solution is basically there, but instead of a launcher shortcut you have an eventsview shortcut. Put the 50 bucks towards a new phone - by the way, which phone are you currently using?
