People like me that live in countries like Panama are always left out of this technologies. I have an address in USA for purchase purposes, so I am buying the Sony XPERIAX through Amazon without problems. But the Sailfish OS purchase for that phone is not available for my country. If is just an Internet Purchase, to be paid with my credit card, an is downloadable, what is the reason to restrict me from purchasing the OS? Please don´t leave me out!

You could have a person you trust purchase it from Europe. It's just software, once purchased you will be able to download it or have it sent to your Dropbox or Google Drive or in some similar way.

Right ... :-D ... I'm really interested in the reasons for stuff like this happening ... I guess financial or legal law reasons ...

I tried to visit shop.jolla.com with VPN turned off. Indeed, they use geoip restriction. Stupid and useless.

Opera offers with just a few easy clicks a VPN, which should do the trick.

(At least the comments in the blog promise so.)

There is no guaranty that you get a EU IP from opera. Then, there is the fingerprint that is tested during the buy process.
