TOH-Standard (so with same spec as Jolla 1 has):

Because Jolla does not manufacture hardware anymore (sadly in my eyes) I would hope for a partnership with Fairphone, because...

would be a good matching: while Jolla concentrates on software, Fairphone does on hardware
both have a strong community
customers of both share similar goals like privacy and sustainability
both companies have underdog bonus
there are already attempts for a Sailfish port to the Fairphone 2

So here is me question:

Given this more evolutionary approach WOULD YOU support a backing campaign for developing a Fairphone-Jolla-Smartphone with the named features?

If NOT, what does it need to make you support this?

Yes, I would support it. And I want to have a new devicethat comes with Sailfish pre-installed. (Currently I am stuck with my brand-new SIM-lock free Xperia X because it has bootloader that cannot be unlocked...)

Nokia phone please (like the 'N series') with native sailfish. That is all we really want.

It needs mentality change by Fairphone. They can't use Android and call it fair. Android causes harware competition amongst phone suppliers and at the same time kills innovation due to lowering margins. If my $ backing is needed to make them see that I don't need to back them.

i dont care for TOH or that the phone comes from jolla. i just want the fairphone with official sailfish, either like sailfish x or even better pre-installed.

Clearly I am not closing it because I don't like it, I'm closing it because it serves no purpose, and is yet another 'brilliant idea' in the long list of daydreams cluttering this website. Jolla will never make another device, and Fairphone never even went through with having Sailfish officially available on their devices. What do you reasonably expect?

@nthn: at first I expect that YOU respect other thoughts and when you dont understand ones intention you ask first and act then. Clearly you did not! This kind of forum communication sucks.

Second: I intended to evaluate the community wish for a Fairphone with SailfishOS cuz I myself would like to see this. And having a great community wish Jolla may think of a closer cooperation with Fairphone or at least a better support / official support for Fairphone. Additionally a great wish for a SailfishOS Fairphone could trigger a KS campaign (or something alike) especially for this purpose. There would be no need for a new Jolla phone (even thou I would like to see this most), just a good support from Jolla for this idea. So was my intention - but because you have sabotage this poll/question I dont like to spend any more energy in it...

Maybe you are happy with such "community behaving", I dont.
